Llyn Idwal is a small lake that lies within Cwm Idwal in the Glyderau mountains of Snowdonia. This painting is on textured acrylic paper.

Chirk castle is a fairly local NT property. This was painted on the spot. I just couldn't resist the purple shadows.

This one is an exaggerated rendition of a local meadow after heavy rain, The water wasn't as solid as this but it looks better like this!

Wetlands

This is on my little granddaughters]'s favourite walk along the River Clywedog, The two dead trees are where we turn around.

Two Trees; Summer.

This tree is one we see regularly on our dog walks. It's actually dead but the ivy still flourishes. It seems to dance in the sunshine.

Gouache is one of my favourie mediums. It has a unique matte surface but can also be waxed and buffed to an impervious sheen. There are examples of both in the shop
